「毎日楽しいの為に」 Flawless Passion
Just like June a few months ago, this month’s loots will contain two parts due to me being in Japan for half the month and in the United States for the other half.

In September, I only had two weeks of time left in Japan. I did most of my last shopping sprees in person, but I also ordered a few things online from Amazon that I couldn’t find in stores. Those Amazon boxes were designed to be incredibly convenient to open. So many mundane things in Japan continues to impress me despite having been here for almost 6 months already. Let’s continue to my total of loots.

I didn’t plan to purchase any more eroge for the remainder of my time in Japan. However, I discovered a hobby store in Nishio city called お宝創庫, which I have never seen or been to before. That store was quite big and loaded with merchandise of all kinds. I started to move my shopping here instead of doing the hour+ trip to Nagoya.
While browsing through that store, including the adult section, I happened to notice 2 games that had an art style very reminiscent of Haganai’s anime art style. Intrigued, I decided to pick out and purchase one of the two games. Upon further research, the artist for Haganai’s anime did indeed work on the art for these games as well. I have not played much more than the prologue, so I haven’t formed any opinion about the game yet, but the art and characters are definitely nice to look at.
During this trip to Japan, I was able to get my hands on the Orange, Banana, and recently, the elusive Melon Lock Seed. With those three in hand, I knew I had to complete the set with Budou as well, especially since I bought Ryuugen’s S.H.Figuarts last month. Same with the Melon Lock Seed, I sadly could not find the gacha version so I will have to settle for the shokugan version.
Among my other random goods I purchased were a mini Black Rock Shooter tapestry and a magnet badge of a character from Amairo Islenauts. I call it a mini tapestry because it is not very large, roughly 48 cm (19″) in length and 21 cm (8″) in width. It was likely a fan-made item. The quality is nice and cost next to nothing so it was quite a steal in my opinion. I haven’t played Amairo Islenauts, but the magnet badge looked nice and only cost ￥100, so why not.
Regarding all the manga that I bought this month, the majority of them are subsequent volumes of existing series that I bought in the previous months. Since I am leaving Japan soon, I wanted to complete all the volumes of all the series I had before leaving.
Besides eroge, there were also a number of baskets filled with R18 doujinshi in お宝創庫’s adult section. Like how I didn’t buy any adult manga last time I was in Japan, I haven’t really purchased any R18 doujinshi either. So this time, I decide to dig around and picked out a few that caught my eyes. I found a series of books about the same character by the same author. At the time, I didn’t know about Tales of Graces and thought that it was an original story. For the other 2 books, one of them is about Kotegawa Yui from ToLove-Ru and the other is an original story.
Lastly, I couldn’t help but be entranced by this pencil board from 失われた未来を求めて. It is an eroge that I have came across a few times before and its art always caught my eyes. The backside is a variation of the front. Looking up the game and character later on, her name appears to be 華宮 凪沙 (Hanamiya Nagisa).
Everything you see in the photo above are things I bought for as gifts for friends and family. Close to all of it are for my little brother. 4 miscellaneous items in the upper right corner are some small stuff for friends. Not pictured, but I also bought a cushion from the series Inu x Boku SS as another gift for a friend.
And that is it for everything that I have purchased during my last 2 weeks in Japan!
When I returned to the United States, these were all the packages waiting for me while I was away.
The second part of my loots for this month consists of:
- Figma 島風 Shimakaze
- 神のみぞ知るセカイ２６ [限定版] Kami nomi zo Shiru Sekai Vol.26 [Limited Edition]
- 食戟のソーマ８ Shokugeki no Souma Vol.8
- S.H.Figuarts 仮面ライダーバロン[バナナアームズ] Kamen Rider Baron [Banana Arms]
- S.H.Figuarts 仮面ライダーカリス Kamen Rider Chalice
Initially, I heavily debated if I wanted the Shimakaze Figma because I already bought the Nendoroid version a few months back. After getting the chance to see it in person in Japan, I decided to keep the pre-order since I do prefer my action oriented characters in the form of Figma over Nendoroids. I am glad I kept the order because I ended up really liking this Figma.
Here are some adorable poses. The 3 Rensouhou-chan are simply cute and awesome.
Among all the Kamen Riders, Chalice’s design is definitely up there in the top 10 for me. So naturally, I was very excited about its long anticipated release as a S.H.Figuarts.
Very cool. I saw it in person while I was in Japan, so I knew exactly what to expect and it does not disappoint. I wonder how long it will be until they make its upgrade, the Wild Chalice. Currently, I have no plans to get the S.H.Figuarts of the other Riders from Blade.
The other S.H.Figuarts I purchased was Kamen Rider Baron. Kamen Rider Gaim is awesome as a series and so, much like the situation with the Lock Seeds, I knew that I had to complete the 4 main Riders. The S.H.Figuarts of Zangetsu Shin was released recently as well, but because it was a Premium Bandai Online Shop item, I couldn’t find one in stores nor afford the premium prices on Amazon. ( ；∀；)
I started reading Kami nomi zo Shiru Sekai over 4 years ago. And now, the final volume to the series has released. I don’t know what to say besides お疲れさまです！ I have yet to read even half of the series. I may have a lot to catch up on, but I also have no need to rush myself. I plan to slowly enjoy the rest of the series at my own pace. Like vol.25, the limited edition of vol.26 contains a stack of post cards. I haven’t opened them to take a look yet for the fear of spoilers.
A look at my shelf filled with volumes of Kami nomi zo Shiru Sekai. At 26 volumes (plus some side stuff), it is the longest manga series that I follow. Of course, fans who collect Dragon Ball or One Piece will easily dwarf that number but this is still quite a milestone for any manga-ka.
