六月の購入物 June Loots – 2013

Three packages came in this month. Two of which were AmiAmi’s familiar boxes. The third package was also from AmiAmi, but surprisingly it came in the form of a large padded envelope. I’m experiencing new things from AmiAmi despite shopping with them for the past 3 years. Let’s take a peek at what’s inside.

In the first package were 3 flat items. Since all of the items were flat, I was surprised to see them in a box instead of a cardboard panel like in March. Regarding the stuff inside, the one with the label in the center of the above photo is mine. The other two tucked away at the top of the photo are gifts to friends.

Here is what was inside of the padded envelope. Can you guess what it is? It is made out of cloth, so I suppose that is why AmiAmi shipped it like this since there was no fear of anything breaking. With an envelope being lighter than a box, I probably saved a bit on shipping, thanks!

The third package, with just one thing inside. Scroll down to find out.

My loots for June 2013:

  • デート・ア・ライブ A3 クリアポスター Date A Live A3 Clear Poster – 【By Flagments
  • アスナ&ティターニア のれん Asuna & Titania Noren – 【By Chara-Ani
  • 1/144 ヴァルヴレイヴⅢ火神鳴 Valvrave III Hikaminari

So the scene on this Date A Live A3 clear poster looks really really cool. And when something looks really really cool, that’s all the reason I ever need to buy something. I really like Date A Live’s character designs too. It seems quite rare to have a heroine cladded in vivid purple, so that makes the series stand out from the crowd for me.

Asuna! So this is a noren of Sword Art Online’s Asuna and Titania, as in Asuna from the SAO arc and Asuna from the Fairy Dance Arc (aka Titania) together in one illustration. And a noren is a kind of Japanese curtain generally consisting of 2 flaps that you hang at the top of doorways. Maybe some of you have seen them at Japanese shops or restaurants.

As you can see, I haven’t opened it yet and that is why I don’t have better pictures than these right now. I definitely plan to use the noren once I settle into my next apartment and figure out how to hang it up nicely. The dimensions are 85 x 120 cm (33.5 x 47 in) and it does have a hefty price of ¥5000, but I’m excited to have it.

My final loot for June is this 1/144 Valvrave III Hikaminari model. I won’t spoil who the pilot is and I do not recommend reading about this series online or looking at the sides of this model’s box if you care about spoilers. While I’m happy to have this released, I really want news of Valvrave IV and so on. I have no plans to build this one until the others are released. Come on Bandai, I want them all, so take my money already!
