「毎日楽しいの為に」 Flawless Passion
Three different packages came in this month. At the end of which, I hopped on over to Japan. You can read all about that here. Let’s continue on with the loots.
In the first box is the Makise Kurisu & Shiina Mayuri Cheerful Nendoroid set. Now, me and my friend actually decided to split this. I only wanted Kurisu and well, he wanted both. However, he owns me way too much money already and I advised that he split this with me rather than buying a whole set himself. He let me kept the box, and so I let him chose whichever accessories he wanted.
The second box contained a bunch of stuff. On the top is a To Aru Majutsu no Index clear file set of 4, as well as a Working!! pencil board. Underneath those, a box set of Puella Magi Madoka Magica Nendoroid Petites and a set of ClariS [Irony ver.] Nendoroid Petites. Only two of the things above are mine. Can you guess what?
In the final box, the two Nendoroid Touwa Erio will definitely catch your eyes first. Looking more carefully though, there is a mini-cushion of Sanzenin Nagi from Hayate no Gotoku tucked in at the right, and what seems to be a sheet of white paper on the top. That is actually a desk mat of the series, Tenshin Ranman. Only one of the Nendoroids is mine in addition to the Tenshin Ranman desk mat. I tried to give the mini-cushion to my little brother, but he wasn’t very thrilled about a mini-cushion.
So subtracting all of the stuff that wasn’t mine, here are all of my loots for this month:
- ねんどろいど藤和エリオ Nendoroid Touwa Erio 【By GSC】
- ねんどろいど牧瀬紅莉栖 [応援ver.] Nendoroid Makise Kurisu [Cheerful ver.] 【By GSC】
- 天神乱漫デスクマット Tenshin Ranman Desk Mat 【By Toy’s Planning】
- Working’!! 下敷き [Type D] Working’!! Pencil Board [Type D] 【By Penguin Parade】
- とある魔術のインデックスⅡ クリアファイル ４種 To Aru Majutu no Index II Clear File 4 Types 【By Surfer’s Paradise】
A closer look at my two Nendoroids for this month.
Here is the Tenshin Ranman desk mat. As of writing this post, I still only have cleared a single route. I need to spend some more time with this game. You can see more details of the desk mat in the video below.
The Working’!! pencil board. Now, I don’t fully understand the application of this. I think that you are supposed to put this underneath a paper, so that when you write and you press hard against the paper, it wouldn’t imprint on the sheets underneath. However, it is not like this pencil board is made out of anything strong and would likely be damaged if used.
A set of 4 clear files of To Aru Majutsu no Index II. Each clear file has a different illustration on either side, so that’s 8 illustrations. Although not all are by the same artist, so there are some inconsistencies in the style. These files are essentially folders that you can stick sheets of paper in. Since these are transparent, lines of the two sides can show through the other side, so maybe sticking some paper in would look better.
And right before I headed over to Japan. I brought a new lens since I damaged my usual kit lens. I wanted to take the best photos I could after all.
In the end, I went with the AF-S DX Nikkor 35mm f/1.8G.
This lens had some nice features and it was rock solid. It was especially great for indoor photography where light is limited because of the lens’s very fast aperture. The sole downside is that it is not a zoom lens, but it makes up for it in sturdiness. My adventures in Japan is now over though, and so I’m selling this lens. It was used for less than three months, any takers? E-mail me if you are interested.
Normally, I would say that the amount of this month’s loot was quite decent in size. However, my loots for the next two months in Japan were orders of magnitudes bigger. Those posts can be accessed respectively right here – April and May.
