「毎日楽しいの為に」 Flawless Passion
To my surprise, I have quite a hefty loot for November. Something that I didn’t initial expect was having to return to Japantown in order to pick-up a custom order, which in turn led me to buying other things as well. No regrets, because I fully love and appreciate what I bought.
A simple list of what I bought this month:
- Figma 博麗霊夢 Hakurei Reimu
- 電撃 G’s Magazine [Nov-12]
- ドラゴンマガジン Dragon magazine [Nov-12]
- 神のみぞ知るセカイ Kami nomi zo Shiru Sekai Vol. 11, 17-19
When I first set my greedy eyes on this, I knew that I had to have it. The cover definitely caught my attention, and reading more closely, I really wanted that pillow cover with Asuna on it. Staying true to my desires, I took her home.
Oh, my shining angle ♥
How my (
harem) bed currently is.
I have never bought an issue of Dragon Magazine before, but I wanted that Highschool DxD artbook. There was a different magazine with another different Highschool DxD artbook, but this one had more pages so I went with this one. The clear file is also really nice, although I don’t know anything about the series.
Last month, I bought an issue of Jump Square with some ToLoveRu bonuses, and I mentioned that it was part 1 of 3. I did spotted the following issue with the part 2 bonus, but I only had so much money on me. The two magazines above were what I wanted over the others.
In November, I finally received mt GSC Online Shop orders for the Figma Hakurei Reimu, which I had been hunting for. As you can see, I bought two, but I plan to sell the other. I just wasn’t very willing to spend ￥2000 for shipping of this one figure.
I really don’t like having to place a preorder so many months in advance and I also don’t like having EMS as my sole shipping option, so really, more flexibility would be much appreciated.
The whole reason why I went to Japantown again so soon after my previous trip in October was to pick up a special order from Kinokuniya. To my surprise, the order arrived within a week or so, and what I ordered was Kami nomi zo Shiru Sekai Vol. 19 Limited Edition. While I was at it, I decided to track down the limited editions of Vol. 11 and the Vol. 17 & 18 bundle on ebay.
And now for a very special loot, something like this won’t happen very often, the Limited Edition Halo 4 Xbox 360.
I know that I’m a sucker for limited editions. I had originally decided that $400 was simply too much for me, so I opted for just the regular game itself. But after the release date, the price dropped by $50, and while $350 is still heavy on my wallet, my little brother was willing to help split for it. So I get to keep this new xbox and he gets to keep my old one, now both of us can play.
When I buy something expensive like this when I already have an old xbox, I feel both shamed of my greed, but also proud of how nice the item is. Probably my best justification for buying this is that I will be enjoying Halo 4 for at least the next two years. I have had over 1000 hours on Halo 3, and over 600 hours on Halo: Reach. I wonder how many hours I will accumulate on Halo 4.
Here, the console and the controller. During the unboxing video above, I had to hold myself back from saying “wow” as I was filming. I was not a big fan of the design at first, until I saw them in person. I don’t think that these pictures can do them justice.
Here showing you some close-ups and the blue LEDs, which are really nice by the way. While this comes with two limited edition controllers, I only kept one for myself. I didn’t want to hog all of the new stuff.
My old console and controllers really were getting old, around 4 to 5 years old in fact, so they have some minor issues. I suppose this made for some good reasons among other ones.
So a month of hefty loots indeed. I spent $96 in Japantown alone, and then couple that with my new xbox, my Figma Reimu, and some limted edition manga, I’m surprised at how I actually afforded all of that. I suppose that this was only possible because my friend is finally starting to repay what he owns me. As I’m trying to reconnect myself with my hobbies, I wonder how I’m going to manage my budget for next month. Only time will tell…
