Flawless Passion
A couple packages arrived this month. During the 2nd week of this month, my break ends and I needed to return university. As my bad luck will have it, one of the packages I was waiting for arrived on morning I was going to leave. I had to quickly stick it into my luggage. (>.<;;)
As you may have noticed in the photos above, I got some long tubes (2 to be exact). Those are a calendar and a poster (of Kami nomi zo shiru Sekai & Black Rock Shooter respectively). Below is the usual group photo, but the calendar and poster is omitted because I had already hung them up and it would be troublesome to take them off.
All the stuff that I have bought this month (including 2 things not in the photo):
- PSP とある科学の超電磁砲 [限定版-予約特典付き] Toaru Kagaku no Railgun [LE w/ Pre-order Bonus]
- ブラックロックシュター ポスター Black Rock Shooter Fabric Poster
Kami nomi zo Shiru Sekai 2012 Calendar
Nendoroid Petite Aisaka Taiga [Final Episode ver.]
Nendoroid Petite Aisaka Taiga [School Mizugi ver.]
First off is something that I don’t buy too often, gunpla! The reason why I bought this MG 00 Gundam 7 Sword/G is not only because it looks awesome, but also because I saw it for sale at a great price. It is the exact same reason why I bought the 1/100 Gundam Virtue back in July.
Upon opening the box, I was very impressed. This is the 2nd MG that I own (the 1st being Exia, which is still a work-in-progress) and the amount of parts, as well as the beauty of them, simply stuns me. However, this is technically second-hand and one of the decals were badly cut off. Besides that one missing decal tough, everything else is brand-new. ^^
Continuing on to my other loots, here is my Toaru Kagaku no Railgun PSP game, which I reluctantly paid for and then only to have the price drop a couple days later. Orz…
I really enjoyed Railgun and the Limited Edition has a Figma of Shirai Kuroko as well. Although I think that the Figma could have been better (as good as it is), I decided to get it just because of how much I like Kuroko. I completely forgot about the pre-order bonus (nor did I know what it was), so I was very pleasantly surprised when I saw it. This makes me feel a lot better about paying for it. This also makes me wonder why didn’t the Index PSP game have a pre-order bonus.
Here is a photo of the back of the box, as well as a close-up photo of the pre-order bonus, which is a cleaner cloth. The cleaner cloth looks really nice, and now I kind of regret not buying the version with the AmiAmi bonus, which is a bookstore card I think.
Next are the 2 items not pictured in the group shot.
First is the Black Rock Shooter poster. This I bought off of ebay from a seller called ceitems. Usually I don’t buy things on ebay, but long story short, I thought I had bought a poster of the same illustration at Japantown last month. However, I was given the wrong poster and after searching around online, I finally found this poster of the right illustration on ebay.
The posters at Japantown were made of a thick glossy photo-like paper, while this poster is made out of a plastic-like fabric. If someone can teach me the right terminology, that would be helpful. The posters at Japantown were also bigger and cheaper, but I’m quite satisfied with this one, since its print quality was higher than I expected, not to mention I received the poster that I wanted at last.
Next, the 2012 calendar, I bought this from Hobby Search when my little brother was buying a model kit so I just combined the shipping together. I really like Kami nomi zo Shiru Sekai for those who don’t know, and the series really don’t have much goods so I really wanted this calendar to accompany me for the year. ^^
Just like my Toaru Kagaku no Railgun 2011 calendar, I will be making a post and updating that page with the new illustrations for every 2 months. The maker of this calendar and the Railgun 2011 calendar are actually different, so the size and layout are different as well. What I really want though, is a full-size calendar with a spiral top. A company needs to make that!
Lastly, something that may make some people jealous perhaps, 2 Aisaka Taiga Nendoroid Petites. One of them is the School Mizugi (swimsuit) version that you see above. If I am correct, this version is an exclusive bonus that comes with the limited edition of this series’s PSP game. The other Nendoroid Petite of Taiga, is the Final Episode Sailor Uniform version, which comes with Vol. 1 of the exclusive magazine called Anime Style.
For both of these Petites, I didn’t buy the main thing that they are supposed to be with. Instead, a fellow reader, TakoTalk, notified me that someone on figure.fm was selling these Petites and that was how I got these. Thanks again, TakoTalk! o(*^▽^*)o
