May was another long month. My life consisted of simply looking forward from one weekend to the next. I haven’t mentioned this before, but this month is also the last month that I will have my room. Beginning in June, I will be moving out to the living room.
My rent was supposed to be more expensive than it is right now. The only reason why it is not, is because my friend in the living room offered to take on some extra costs. What I’m paying is the cost for the living room space, despite the our locations being switched. Now that he is graduating, I will take his place.
During this month, I finished Shugo Chara Doki, Infinite Stratos 2, and Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai Ren. While I didn’t like the first season of Chuunibyou all that much, I thoroughly enjoyed the 2nd season, just as I had expected. The opposite could be said for IS 2, where the story wasn’t focused on, and yet, there wasn’t much ecchi scenes either. There are so much heroines that no one gets focused on and I wanted to see more of Tatenashi.
After mid-May, I really didn’t have much time to enjoy anime. Whenever I did have some time, I played eroge (mainly Baldr Sky) or read manga. One day though, I also was able to make time to open and pose some figures.
I went back to my parent’s place on a 3-day weekend, and there I resumed watched One Piece with my little brother. We have always watched that together and ever since I went into college, that show has been on hiatus for us. It’s nice that he didn’t continue without me (but he did watch the movies). I also give him to play the Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment PSV game that I bought, since I don’t have a Vita.
Also during the weekend, in an effort to lessen the amount of space that my plastic model boxes are taking up, I devised a formula to easily shrink the boxes into a smaller variant and still keep the cover art intact. I’d like to make a dedicated post on it when I have time to do so.
Early in the month, my friend and my little brother went to SF Japantown to get me some manga that came out recently. I didn’t want to go because I felt that I have already went too often in the past several months just for manga. I’m really tired of how my only source is Kinokuniya. One of what I really wanted was Minamoto-kun Monogatari vol. 5 and my friend joked about Kinokuniya not having it, which was not funny. This just shows how little options I have. Next month is my 2nd trip to Japan, and I cannot wait to bring home a suitcase full of manga and games (if I can even afford them, that is).
